How to Afford to Travel More.
How do I afford to travel more is one of the many questions that I, as well as all the other travel bloggers out there, get asked all the time.
Like I mentioned in a previous post, how to make more time to travel, is that I made a travel a priority in my life which mean that every decision that I make wherever it finding ways to afford to go traveling more, being more wise with my free time which will allow me to travel more often.
However, while it’s all good finding ways to make the time, you will find and consider ways to make the money to go travelling more often. So Today I’m going to show you 6 different ways to help you afford to travel more.

1 || Budget
When trying to work out how you can afford to travel more, the first thing you need to do is to work out your budget. By working out how much money you have coming in and out, including any rent, bills and saving, that you can;
+ Firstly, track to see if you have any unnecessary spending that you save money
+ Secondly, how much money you have to go travelling.
Once you have figured out your budget and where your spending is going, you can put a plan into place to start saving money to go travelling more.
2 || Get a Second Job/Start a Side -Hustle
If you are struggling to get enough money to travel or even just want to some extra cash to spare anyway, then getting a second job or creating your own side hustle is a good way to get the extra cash.
Examples of second jobs, include; Bar & Restaurant work, as many places are flexible about what hours you can and cannot work and are usually looking for people, especially during peak seasons like summer and holiday season.
Side hustles, on the other hand, require a the investment of money, as well as time, to get you started, however they are very very rewarding at the same time. Example of side hustles include; Blogging, Freelance Services ( Writing, Social Media Management, Copywriting, Travel Planning, Photographer), Creating online courses, Ebooks, Affiliate Marketing and Selling Products.

3 || Use Travel Comparison Websites
This is properly the most easiest way to help you afford to travel more and I can bet you know at LEAST 1 travel comparisons websites. Some of my favourites include;
+ SkyScanner – Good for looking for Cheap Flights
+ Trivago – Compares Hotels
+ Kayak – Compares Hotels, Flights and Package Holidays
By using these sites you can find the best flight and hotel deal that suit you and your budget. Many of these sites come with cool features, such as filters to adjust to your need and price trackers, which lets you know if the prices go up, down or just stays the same.

4 || Membership Rewards
Another great to save money is to be part of Membership Programmes as they generally offer great deals for their members which is not available to the public. Some top membership groups include;
Hotels.com – Free to Join – Offers ‘Secret prices to members’ and also offer 1 night free when booking 10 nights.
Expedia – Free to Join – Send regular emails with deals for flights, hotels, car hire, train travel and activities as well as notification their flash sales.
IHG Rewards – Free to Join – Members earns points when staying at NINE hotels brand across the world, including Holiday Inn, Crowne Plaza and Intercontinental Hotels and Resorts. The also offer members that book directly with them the best price than booking with competitors.
5 || Booking in Advance & Promotional Deals
Taking advance of Advance Booking and Promotional Deals are good way to make your money go further and also saves you a ton of time on queuing. Score! Many attractions often have a special prices for visitors who have booked their tickets in advance compared and have a fast-track when entering them as well.
By also keeping an eye out on Promotional Deals, such as 2-for-1, can help your money go further by visiting an extra attractions which you might have not got a chance to visit.
6 || Employee Discounts
This is one thing that people may not realise that you employee discount may help save money and find some really good deals. I know for the fact that my employee discounts can offer discounts at many major high street brands, from clothing, food, dining out, cinema and holidays!
If you don’t know if you have employee discount or what it includes! Ask the relevant people at work, you will be surprised what you can save with it!
