How to Make the Most of Your Time When on Your Travels.
Now that we have figured out how to make time to travel, you may have even figured out how afford to travel more. However, your next biggest problem that you would properly will be facing is how I can I make the time that I have on my travels.
Like many of us who are out to travel with our spare time outside of work. We are always trying to find ways to gain time to enjoy our travels more. So today, I am going to share my top tips on how to make time to travel.
1 || Leave/Book Early Morning Flight or Train Out.
Now, if you are not a morning person, like myself, they your problem turning your nose up at this very suggestion. I promise you, that doing this will be worth the effort! I have done many times when me and my family have gone on our holidays, wherever it is the UK and Abroad, most recently when I went to Rome.
Imagine this, leave for your destination at 6 or 7 in the morning, spend several hours travelling and to be in your destination, your hotel by lunchtime and get to spend the rest of day exploring your destination.
How good does that sound?
Pretty good, I bet.
By also doing this means that you can potentially save money on your flights by taking early in the day, especially during the week when most people have will fly over the weekend and on Mondays.
Also many hotels, hostels will have a luggage storage area where you can keep your suitcases and bags if your room is not ready, which can allow you get to the exploring straight away!
2 || Book the Evening/Late Flight or Train Home.
Following, from the last point, you can properly guess that extending your time your destination by booking an evening or late flight/train home. This means that there is ABSOLUTELY no excuse that you can’t do everything that you set out to do while you are at your destination.
Again, you can use the hotel or hostel luggage store area to store your suitcases and bags while you enjoy your final day in your destination without dragging your bags around with you all day long!
As previously mentioned there also the potential to save money by taking a late flight or train back home as many don’t want to take arrive too late if they are working the next day.
3 || Prioritise What You Want to do When You are There
I have talked about prioritising your destination to do list, in a previous post, how to an awesome travel planner, that having a plan on what you want to see and do is very important.
The reason why it is important is that you don’t want to overdo it when exploring a destination, especially when visiting the destination for the first time and you want to do all the things and the last thing that you want to do is get over-tired and not be able to enjoy your trip as much as you want to.
It is also worth noting that you don’t have to do see ALL the attractions and sights in the same trip. You can ALWAYS go back again to do and see all things that you want to do.
Another good reason why you need to prioritise when exploring your destination that you might not be able to afford everything that you want to do and see especially when want to make your money go far as possible. Wherever this includes to be able to travel and explore more places or other financial commitments that you have.
Over to you...
Do YOU have any methods that help make the most of your time when you are on your travel?
I truly believe in these by placing these methods will most definitely help you make the most of your travels, as I have previously mentioned, have used myself over the years that I have been travelling.
I also hope that it will work for you, just like it has for me.
