This website is hosted by a third party hosting (SiteGround) and uses Mailerlite and WebMail for our email communication, and various third-party plugin and software.  As such, certain information may be shared with them in accordance with their individual terms of services. 

 Except as otherwise stated in this privacy policy, we do not sell, trade, rent or otherwise share your Personal Information with third parties without your consent. 

In general, any Personal Information that you provide to us is used solely to help us communicate with you. For example, we use Personal Information to contact Website visitors in response to questions, solicit feedback and share promotional offers. See Section 4 for more information regarding our email marketing.

3. Information You Provide

When you leave a comment on this website, you are giving implied consent for this comment and your information to appear on our website. In leaving a comment, your name and email address will not be shared with any third party. We may use your email address solely to respond to your comment. However, we are not liable or responsible for the actions of other individuals and the unauthorised use by such information that your voluntarily share. Although the name and email boxes are present on my post comments, you are not  required to provide your name and email in order to comment 

We have public social media accounts and social sharing options on our website. If you choose to interact on social media with us or our accounts, you are advised that any interactions on those accounts are publicly available.

If you choose to share a testimonial on this Website, we will first obtain your written permission via email before including your name and testimonial on our website.

Floss’ Adventures utilise email marketing to maintain contact with our readers and to provide information relevant to business and blogging to our subscribers. When you have provided your email (such as joining our weekly newsletter) we will use email ONLY for that purpose.

We will never spam you and will keep our email correspondence to a minimum. These emails may contain information related to actionable tips and advice,  recommended business products and services and our weekly newsletter.  

Our email communication will be related to business topics.  We will NEVER sell, transfer, or otherwise share your email address with a third party without your explicit written consent.

We make every attempt to keep your Personal Information secure, but we realise that no transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, but we cannot guarantee absolute security. By using this Website, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to assume these risks.

If you make any purchases on this Website, you may be asked to provide a username and password during checkout. This information is not shared and is solely for the purpose of accessing your purchase. We do not collect or store any other information during the checkout process.

All transactions on this website are conducted securely via Stripe & PayPal and we cannot access and do not store any payment information. The transaction charge will show up as Floss’ Adventures on your credit account statement.

This Website includes links to other websites. Once you leave our website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our Website’s Terms and Conditions.

When you click on links on our Website, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.

7. GDPR & Your Rights 

 GDPR (The General Data Protection Regulations) is a Privacy Law from the EU (European Union)  that goes into effect on 25th May 2018.  This section covers how Floss’ Adventures process and use Personal Data that can identify of our readers and subscribers.  Personal Data includes your name, email address and IP address.  This also includes information collected from our opt-ins freebies, webinars, survey and quizzes, as well as segmenting and tagging subscribers to get information that is relevant for them. 

To lawfully process your personal data, we will need to get consent from you to use it.  Consent will be specific,  informed, unambiguous and freely given by a statement or by a clear affirmative action, i.e. checkboxes.  Consent must be demonstrable, to prove that you have given consent to process your personal data.  Consent will be distinguishable from other matters and presented in an  intelligible and easily accessible form, using  clear and plain language. Links to out privacy policy and terms and conditions will provided at the time of obtaining any Personal data from you.  Also, a cookie pop-up will appear when you visit Floss’ Adventures. 

Under GDPR, you also have new and enhanced rights which you can request from us, some of these right are;

This means that you can ask us how we are using your data and for what purpose.  This will be provide to you at no extra cost to you. 

The Right to Erasure. 

It is also known as ‘The Right to Forgotten’. This means you have the right  to request for all the personal data related to you to be deleted from our databases. 

The Right of Data Portability 

This means that you are entitled to request your data from us. It also means that you have the right to share and transfer this data with other bloggers and businesses processing data systems.
